Call for Contributions

One hundred years ago, America broke out in violence, as whites around the country rioted, attacking black communities in thirty-eight cities. Chicago went under martial law for days. In Omaha, the mayor was hung for attempting to protect a black man from a lynch mob.

We can’t afford to forget. RedSummer1919 is a collaborative project of creatives to remind everyone. Contribute what you can: artwork, poetry, essays, photos from your family collection, short stories are all welcome.
